Its 2.3 sq ft filtration area and up to 60 GPM flow help deliver effective circulation for many backyard pools.

  • This filter requires about 250 lbs (≈113 kg) off filter sand. Like most traditional sand filters—including similar Hayward models—it filters particles in the 20–40 micron range,

  • The Sand Dollar 22" includes a 6-function, top-mount multiport valve with a pressure gauge and manual air relief for easy operation, just like many Hayward units. What makes the Sand Dollar distinctive is its thermoplastic, one-piece tank designed for corrosion resistance and long life, plus an internal design that maximizes sand surface exposure for more efficient flow and backwashing, similar in performance to comparable Hayward models but with Pentair’s own internal flow pattern and materials.
